Rift – The post 1.2 plaque grind
It has been a few weeks since the release of Rift’s 1.2 patch that brought an end to my beloved daily quests and the rise of the LFG tool. I complained quite a bit about it and have continued to … Continue reading
Tuesday Tip – Willful Ignorance
There is a growing trend in MMORPGs that has me a bit frazzled. It is a danger to guilds and groups alike. I’m talking of course about the willfully ignorant. These are not unintelligent players. They just don’t care enough … Continue reading
Calling survivable healers and humorists
This year I set a goal to really expand on Epic Slant and so far I’ve been doing pretty well by finishing my book, establishing Epic Slant Press, and staying active even when on travel. I’ve got a few more … Continue reading
Multiverse Episode 6 – Bone Dragons and Furry Things
Chris and I just finished up another episode of the Multiverse and it turned out exceptionally well! I’m not certain I understand everything that occurred during the show but we had a lot of fun. We also did our best … Continue reading
Raptr’s new social life
ot too long ago Raptr contacted several sites and bloggers to announce a new service. Imagine a combination of Reddit, Facebook, and Twitter that is geared specifically for gamers! I don’t do a lot of social networking but that is because the majority of it is about things that don’t interest me. I don’t really care that you had a smoothy for lunch. Raptr solves that by allowing me to pick specific games and genres to follow. Continue reading
Gain Power via Progression
I was talking to my guild mates the other night and we were lamenting the incessant need for MMORPGs to give players additional power via new levels. It can be hard to talk your friends into playing your game of … Continue reading
Tuesday Tip – Beware the Parse
It seems these days that a whole lot of MMORPG players are falling madly in love with their parse. Guild members are becoming so dependent on it that they are carelessly judging others by their “deeps” number and using it to measure their epeen. Everything will be sacrificed in the name of topping the parse! That is, after all, the most important thing in MMORPGs right? Continue reading
Trion to offer free Rift Server Transfers
Trion announced today that character transfers in Rift will be available to all players once a week for free (with no current end date but it isn’t confirmed as forever)! This is a stark contrast to what every other MMORPG … Continue reading
Raid Rifts Loved & Loathed
Iniquity and I have moved forwards in our progression and have began a routine of dropping raid rifts. As a rifting junky this is something that I’m extremely excited about and have, in general, been loving. At the same time … Continue reading
