It is fair to say that I am not new at this whole “con” thing. I’m a pretty big geek so I’ve done several different ones several different times. That said, this Dragon*Con was Dr. Classy’s first and we decided to put together a little “lessons learned” post for anyone who is considering going to one! Now please understand that every con has its own problems and things it does well. These are some generic tips for you that may be more directly related to Dragon*Con than anything else.
Tips for success
1. On ticket day don’t wear your costume. Some Cons do well with registration. Some do poorly. Don’t take the risk! Get your ticket and then get changed into your awesome self.
2. Buy golf chairs. Cons are all about lines. Want a ticket? Get in line. Want to see Stan Lee? Get in line. Need to shake the Shat’s hand? That is a line. Invest in some golf chairs and carry them!
3. Water. Don’t under estimate it. If you’re a nerd-nerd, computer-nerd, card-nerd, or any type of nerd you might not get up and walk around a lot. Cons involve a TON of walking. Sometimes outside! Bring water and drink it often.
4. Comfortable shoes. Due to the previous statement I would like to reinforce that you will be walking a lot. Find good shoes!
5. Find a schedule! Cons are might busy and a lot will be going on. Find a schedule so you know what you want to see.

Don’t forget; to show up a least an hour early for the parade at Dragon*Con, with water and golf chairs.
Oh yes! A good call. Totally forgot that one.
I would love to go with my brother 2011,and surprise him with airlines tickets to the atl.
I just wish I knew what person I would like to dress as.
My brother said Supergirl since you name your son after Christopher Reeve and Clark Kent .
