I’ve been talking a lot about Iniquity lately because of how proud I am of our progress. This week we hit a new high by clearing Tox’s Mound with 14 people on an off night (and remember, we’re not even in full T1)! Our progress in Labs and Palace continues but we are still lacking a few key roles that would really push us over the edge. Each skilled player that we bring in propels us further along and we need to keep that momentum going. One of the biggest assets that we could bring into the guild right now would be a full time dirge. Here is what we have to offer!
Small Guild – Iniquity is a very tight group of players. We’re not going to grow into a massive organization filled with people you don’t know or don’t like. We’re all friends, we all get along, and we all have the same drive/goals. You can be certain you’ll never sit out on a x4 raid or get lost in a crowd. There is a good chance you’ll be the ONLY member of your class.
Professional – In life and game we’re professionals. We cut up and have a good time but we’re very serious about what we do. We kill raid mobs with numbers/gear/etc that most players would say is impossible. That is what we’re all about. Being the underdog and doing the impossible.
You’re In – We don’t do a recruitment process. We don’t make you jump through hoops. The moment you accept the invite you’re in. You can roll on loot and have all the privileges that everyone else has. We are immediately inclusive and if you don’t work out you don’t work out. No hard feelings on our part.
Consistent Raiding – We raid EVERY Wednesday and Saturday regardless of who is on. Remember that part about professional? Being six people short is of no consequence to us. We’ll get something done to progress the guild.
Difference Maker – In a lot of guilds when you join you’re just another foot soldier. In Iniquity you will be a hero. Every member is important and makes a huge difference in our ability to destroy raid content. If you ever wanted to matter this is the place for you.
Critical Data
Server: Oasis
Transfers: Yes, and if you work out on the long term we’ll even pay for it.
Transplants: Yes, but we DO NOT power level. We will help you out of course but if you want to start fresh on Oasis you need to plan to do the work yourself, by yourself and/or with PUGs. The more it is clear that you’re self motivated, in for the duration, and willing to work the more we’ll help.
Time Zone: Eastern with daylight savings.
Raid Times: Wednesday and Saturday. Start time varies. ~6:30 PM – 1:00 AM. Duration varies.
Loot: We’re a small guild. Everyone gets their share pretty easily. We use random with the understanding that officers can step in to solve a major issue (Such as a cleric rolling on a super awesome tank item).
Total Members: We will stop recruiting at 25-26. We’re at roughly 18 now.
Long Term: We have no plans to game jump any time soon. We’re interested in 38 Studios Copernicus and EverQuest Next.
Other desires: Mystic, Warlock

I would so be on this if I had more time and an ability to consistently attend. My dirge is just rotting away on Oasis. Well he is also level 24 so not quite the ideal candidate haha. Good luck on the search!
I REALLY want to get back on Ranzal but I’m just not sure I can handle where EQII seems to be heading. All the current news about F2P servers and PvP centric developing just doesn’t sit well with me. I just don’t know if I want to throw $30+ into the recent expansions only to have the game go belly up in a few months. How does the game feel compared to KoS and Fallen Dynasty times? Heavily Instanced now? What is a Dirges role in a raid now? – Still a mediocre dps source, rezzer, CC? etc etc etc.
Dirges are primary melee buffers atm. Yes, they are also the main rezzers (if you have one). But, they do very good dps and generally raise the dps of everyone else by a large margin. A well played dirge, who times their various songs and buffs correctly, can massively impact a raid.
I remember having both the solo and group rez on Ranzal, and if I remember correctly, I believe he is 70 so it would take 20 levels to get him to where he needed to be (not including AA’s).
I have strongly been thinking of returning but as I said before, I just don’t know if the game is stable enough to warrant spending the money. I love the 2x a week schedule Iniquity has going on right now, and I see a lot of familiar faces from when I quit in 2006-2007. Basically, I guess I’ll have to jump into the game and see how things are going before I purchase anything more. I wish SoE had a returning player free month to use, but as it looks now I may have to suck up the $15 to get a peek of the games current state.
I meant that they are the main rezzers if you have a dirge, otherwise the poor healers are stuck doing it!
Dirges have some AAs that make it so you don’t have rez sickness as well.
The game is a lot more stable than the hype engine would have you believe. Subscription wise they’ve been flat with a slight increase, not a decrease (despite what people are saying). The Freemium server is totally separate and will actually draw a lot of attention to the game. It most likely won’t help us but it certainly won’t hurt.
Suffice to say, if EQ1 is still there, EQ2 will be here for a long time.
