Checking in with my blog roll

EQ2 Ratonga MMOIt feels like it has been an eternity since I checked my blog reader or clicked through my own link section. Ever since I went on leave and started preparing for this move it has been hard to do much of anything on the internet but play EverQuest II. It is a bit odd how that works out. When I’m working I have more time to read? Who knew! At any rate I’ve been out of the blogging loop for about three weeks and I feel as if something is missing so today I sat down and spent some time reading everyone! Check out what I read today and give some love to my good friends!

Syp is still playing Fallen Earth and that is a good thing! I have yet to use the trial that was sent to me (sorry guys) but I will get around to it. Until then I’m going to live vicariously through posts on Bio Break!

May partner in crime Chris has been busy as usual. The guy’s worth ethic is just far superior to my own! He is looking at the difference between being a tank and being a DPS class. It is a good read and touches a bit on the dynamic that being a DPS player vs being a tank or healer is just an entirely different experience.

On Incoming Pull they’ve put up a pretty good review on Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. This isn’t MMO related nor do I have a Wii but I always like going to this site and reading about gaming in general. I am a PC elitist but I know there is more out there and Incoming Pull is a great spot to hear about it!

The MMO Gamer is less of a personal blog and more of a professional site in my eyes. The gang there has always done an amazing job of getting stellar interviews together and putting up some really impressive stories. A semi-recent editorial was about choice and you should check it out.

Steve has been quite busy this year being the design ninja he is but he did take a moment to pick out some of his favorite music of 2009. This is a tradition at Mobhunter and I generally like what he selects. He also has a rather refined taste and you can find songs via this post that you might be unaware of.

Those random jerks over at The Multiverse have been working really hard to put together great Podcasts for you. You should totally check out Episode Three. I hear its good… from other people… yeah!

Ryan makes his 2010 MMO predictions. He did pretty well in 2009 so we’ll have to see how the trend continues. Most people have already made their predictions so I’m wondering if I do it will it be redundant! At any rate, Ryan is good at it! Read his and pretend I said the same thing.

The Green Armadillo is at it again with the walls of text on Player vs Developer. This is one of my favorite places to go and read and as always he didn’t disappoint. Most recently he has looked at what will come next for LotRO.

Brian Green, a great friend to Epic Slant, is always an interesting read. Unfortunately on my tour of blogs today his most recent article isn’t a happy one. He discusses the end of the studio responsible for Meridian 59.

Scarybooster speculates on the possibility of a long release event for World of Warcraft’s Cataclysm expansion. Join in with your rumors and information!

Ysharros talks about the year that was and some more personally related predictions for 2010. I do have to agree about the beta thing. I do enjoy getting in but I think I over do it sometimes and that ruins a new title for me.

Tesh talks about the holidays and returning to the games/books/movies/shows that we love. We call them traditions and we certainly do it! I know I return to EverQuest ever few years to remind myself what MMOs should be like for me.

Riknas has been talking about flare vs substance in our MMOs. He is feeling like there is more of the former than the latter and I can’t say I disagree. Check it out!
