EQ2, a new start

Guild Leader FerrelA small group of Sodality members and I have decided to try something interesting when it comes to Everquest II. We’re going to truly put the term microcore to the test. This came about because our return to the game has gone so well that we just can’t see moving to any other MMO that may release in the near future. We might play SWtoR but it doesn’t sound much like a game for raiders. Instead we’re going to reboot our original incarnation and try to achieve a lot with as few as possible. The notion of leaving our old guild tag just felt so foreign to us that we kept it and plan to create a new legacy instead of trading on the old one. As such, we’re the new Iniquity of Oasis, a microcore guild that focuses in group x2 content and doing group x4 content under staffed.

Our goal is to keep our roster to 12-14 players so that we can minimize the learning curve and maximize how fast we can gear out and move on to new content. We intend to raid one or two nights a week and pursue the level of skill and professionalism that we’ve long sense become accustomed to from our competitive raiding days. Thus far with only seven level 80 members we’ve managed to do more than I could have anticipated. We’ve defeated numerous group x2 encounters and even a x4 one all within Kunark or TSO. We need to grow though, especially with Sentinel’s Fate looming.

If you’re a hardcore gamer who just doesn’t have the time budget anymore but don’t want to join a casual guild you might want to check us out. We have a few openings so you can check our recruitment announcement over on the Iniquity of Oasis guild website. We welcome cross server transfers and returning veteran players.

  1. I’m tempted, but you’d probably just abandon me like you abandoned me in LotRO. :( Figures the only other blogger on Firefoot would go back to EQ2. :P

Oh the pain and sting! Not that you’re not right!
I don’t actually see us leaving EQ2 any time soon though. It really is home and just “fits” so to speak. Plus soon you’ll have a fairly captive audience in me. I don’t know anyone where I’m moving to so until I meet some folks I’ll be using MMOs more than normal!

Wow, great response so far! Check the Iniquity article for updated requirements.
