Every once in a while I have to check in with my iPhone and talk about the wonders that I’ve discovered there. Sometimes I’ll find something new and exciting but generally I just stick to the same games that continue to prove to be an addiction for me. I’ve talked about it in the past but as far as iPhone MMOs go Epic Pet Wars is probably the best. I am still playing this game and my shark pet is up to level 129. Why I bring this up now is because Miraphonic, the makers of EPW, has been doing a fantastic job of extending their content. Not long ago the game sort of petered out around 80. That is no longer the case as every few levels I find new gear and new trinkets to play with. Simplicity continues to be addicting.
I’ll always be an MMO player with a guild focus but I cannot deny that my need for quick, simple and fun is growing. When it comes to those three words I can safely say that Epic Pet Wars fills the need. I can log in, train a little bit, fight a few battles, check the store and take off. The always availability of having it on my phone is even better. At this point I am just waiting for someone to take this concept and make it slightly more complex. EPW could stand to have a few more bells and whistles and they’re moving that way. Just recently they added the critical strike chance statistic. Mudflation has begun and I love it. So, as I’ve said, if you haven’t checked this game out, do so. If you use the redeem code payssjeu you’ll get some extra respect and so will I! Add me as a friend with the friend code kremolb. There isn’t a lot going on with being friends yet of course but it is fun and helps you in the game.
If you’re not so much into the pet growing industry I was totally addicted to Tower Madness over the Thanksgiving holiday. You might guess by the name that this is a tower defense game. Unlike Epic Pet Wars, Tower Madness is fast paced and far more active. There is a decent amount of depth in tower choice and upgrade-ability. You’re also treated to a mini-campaign and numerous extra maps that you can test your skill against. The game is challenging without being cheesy and overly difficult. It took me some time to plan my strategy effectively to defeat the fourth stage and the victory tasted sweet. Much like Epic Pet Wars I felt this game was good enough to spend money on. I recommend you pick it up.
The last casual venture I’ve had is not an iPhone game but it still counts. The regular people at my work have discovered gaming via CafeWorld on Facebook. Yes, I realize about 95% of you just lost respect for the big bad hardcore guild leader but you have to try this thing. It is hyper competitive and really enthralling. I was working up various spread sheets to figure out which food yields the most experience and money per hour. If you’re on Facebook and have some free time to kill, go for it!
I imagine I’ll be playing a lot of those there games during my move. Take some time and try them out! My pet S_Thane (I think the S stands for Stan) could use some more friends and more respect points!
