Between the MMO panels, various activities and all the running around I don’t feel like we got as many pictures as I would have liked. It didn’t help that all I had was an iPhone. Sooner or later I’ll get a digital camera and do a bit better than these! For now enjoy some of the various shots we got of the awesome costumes! I’ve put together some thumbnails that might look a bit distorted. When you click on them they’ll take you a picture that is actually sized correctly. For the record, the guy in the Epic Slant t-shirt and glasses is me.
This guy was super popular! His costume was simple but elegant. Besides, who doesn’t love bacon?
We were very stoked to see a Carebear! I grew up with them and I’m not afraid to say they are awesome!
I didn’t do a very good job of taking a picture of this wonderful costume. The young lady had a beautiful fan of tails behind her that looked somewhat like a peacock.
This isn’t a Dragon*Con picture but Cthulu came from the vendor room there. He was so adorable (and in short supply) that I had to buy him. I know he is the type of dark god that will drive you to murder but I feel safer at night with him near my bed.
When I saw these two coming I knew I needed a picture. They (hopefully) need no introduction! If you’re unfamiliar with them check out SNL’s “in a box.”
Any Sodality member that has been around a while can tell you that I have a man-crush on the Dread Pirate Roberts. When I ran into him it was only natural to get a picture. This gentlemen looked exactly like him and did an exceptional job! <3
Dr. McNinja is one of those awesome web comics that a lot of people have never heard of. I had to get a picture!
My Hetro-male card would be revoked if I didn’t have at least one picture of elf girls. Great costumes!
A super awesome Vault Dweller costume. On that Pip Boy he had the actual menu! It was amazing!
That little blur there is Felicia Day when she came to say hello at the Dr. Horrible Sing Along. She seems nice and I know a lot of guys are really into her so here you go. I tried!
My esteemed assistant makes friends with the Gingerbread man who also happens to be a Jedi. A character in a costume? Brilliant!
No, that isn’t actually him but wow! What an awesome costume and look alike!
Unfortunately they forgot to hide inside again.
A really well done raider from Fallout. He made a great pair with the vault dweller.
Two troopers from the 501st legion were kind enough to let me take a picture and ask questions about joining. Great guys with great costumes. The trooper in the full armor had the communications unit in his helmet and it sounded exactly like in the movie. I was blown away!
Despite all the damage that the “first” trilogy did to his street cred, Vadar is still my Dark Lord of the Sith. He was fighting some light side Jedi. I’m pretty sure nobody really cares about those guys!
There you have it! My pictures from Dragon*Con. Next year I’m going to try to get a lot more!

Great pics! I like the Fallout characters =) The elf girls’ costumes were amazing… and Scotty back from the dead! No it can’t be! That guy is spot on! Looks like you had a blast!
Those are some great pictures.
Fear Quilted Cthulu.
Ah, I should have asked you to get in touch with the MMO panel organizer. I had a tough time getting a speaker’s spot last year, so I didn’t even try this year.
Maybe next year…. These photos make me miss all the insanity.
Wow. Not James Doohan, but close enough to make me miss the guy. Did he get the voice down, too?
Sadly no. He didn’t sound like Scotty but still! He did an awesome job!
