Epic Slant has had a twitter feed for a while now and I’ve done my best to keep it to nothing more than updates. I’ve made it a policy not to send my followers any tweets other than when a new article comes out or when it directly adds to the conversation we’re having regarding those articles. At the same time I’ve been using Epic Slant to follow people I really want to read and that list grows daily. It pains me when I want to reply and can’t really do so!
With the speed at which our community tweets I’ve been having a hard time managing. Today I went out and grabbed Tweet Deck and that has made my life so much easier. That tool has allowed me to realize that I missed shout outs for the site! I basically ignored guildlaunch and LotRO’s community manager who said nice things about Epic Slant. It was not intentional, I assure you! I truly apologize to both.
To manage all this and simplify my life a bit I’m going to go ahead and let the Epic Slant twitter feed be just that. If you want to hear about when new articles come out, receive rare tweets about related articles or the occasional reply follow Epic_Slant. If you’d like to see some micro commentary from me and my replies to other bloggers you can follow Ferrel. Other Epic Slant columnists may have their own feeds as well. If you’d like to follow them all I’ll be quite thrilled!
