PC Gaming Renaissance

These days it is common place to hear how PC gaming is dying and some times it is easy to believe. This month, however, nothing can be further from the truth. Suffice to say I was very busy this weekend!

My roommate and I are still playing through Saga. If you haven’t tried this yet you really need to. It is simply a well done and amazing game. Any RTS fan should apply.

I also received access to the Warhammer Online preview weekend 2.0. This has given me an opportunity to try out the Destruction races and learn what like I on that end. Compared to the original preview weekend the game has been polished to the extreme. I will be going into more in depth coverage later but for this blurb I say to players, plan to pick this game up. To Mytic I have to say buy more servers. You’re going to need them.

Sunday saw the release of the much hyped Spore. I’ve played several hours and I’m quite impressed. I blew through to the civilization portion of the game pretty quick so I am worried that the total hours of play available aren’t that long. As I learn more I’ll write about it. That said, however, it is still a whole lot of fun. The game is brutal and cute, a combination very rarely seen.

For my last little note I found an interesting tool that is in beta. It is face book for gamers. Check out Raptr. You can find me as, shocking enough, Ferrel.
